Taylor-Swift
Taylor Swift, full Taylor Alison Swift. American singer/songwriter who's achieved huge success with the tales she tells of her young heartbreak. Swift began to show an desire to work in the music industry at a young age. The trajectory of her career was rapid from children's play roles and her first public appearance in crowds of people. Swift started writing songs at the age of 11. She sang The Star-Spangled Banner for a Philadelphia 76ers basketball game. Drawing inspiration from musicians from the country genre like Shania Twain and the Dixie Chicks (now the Chicks) Swift crafted original material that reflected her experiences of growing up in a world that was dominated by tweens. Swift relocated from Pennsylvania with her parents to Hendersonville, Tennessee when she turned 13 to devote more time to contacting the country music labels.
